So my questions to the community are these:ġ. I *did* see a problem that someone had, when he did this-saying that once he did this, his home network stopped working. This leads me to think I must power off the airport extreme, and do a complete reset of the extreme and my wireless network. It seems relevant to setting up an extreme the first time (which I did so long ago, I can't even remember) But all the forum discussions and on-line help on this seems to involve a GUI that does not match what I have, when the airport utility is run. That's when I thought that something had to be set on the airport extreme.

#SONOS BRIDGE SOFTWARE#
THe connect was not detected by the sonos software

ThenI came upstairs and tried the same approach - ethernet connection between my macbook air and the sonos CONNECT. Ran the sonos software again, and it said "sonos bridge detected". I then connected the sonos bridge to my macbook air directly with an ethernet connect. Outcome: No sonos device could be detected. I started the sonos software and instructions to detect devices, using my macbook air. The sonos connect is in a different room, upstairs. airport of course is connected to modem. These are downstairs. I've attached the sonos bridge to the airport. I have all the current versions of airport extreme, 6.2, and I'm running OS X 10.7.5 I've just bought a Sonos bridge and a sonos connect.įirewall is off. I have an airport extreme and a well working wireless network in my house There is a lot of discussion about the extreme being in bridge mode, but I can't find any way to determine if it is *currently* in bridge mode. It seems others have been faced with the same questions, I've not found anything in existing forums or discussion groups that helps, so here it is again.
